I adore my Kanken! I had been searching for a backpack for ages, and its perfect for my 13" laptop...I never worry about it being bumped or damaged thanks to the lovely compartment. As a graduate student I tend to cart around many MANY things all day long and my back and shoulders are never sore. Plus the great material keeps out the dreary London rain, with a handy side pocket that fits my umbrella perfectly. Plan on ordering another soon to take on trips. One of the girls on my program is from Sweden and my bag brought back such fond childhood memories for her that she can back after the holidays with a Kanken of her own! Many, many thanks! I really like the keyrings - very handy for the outside of your bag at night for greater visibility. And the stickers are fab - will cover every available surface with them.
